✞ Nouthetic Counseling ✞

Beyond Your Body Image Battles

Life brings pain and hardship. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to walk through it alone. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Compared to Who? isn't just a resource for your body image and food battles. We're here to walk alongside you and gently guide you to the true source of wisdom for many of life's other challenge.
Our philosophy is this: Psychology doesn't hold all the answers, scripture does. Our commitment is to lead and guide you as a follower of Christ through the answers from God's Word.
We're not oversimplifying your issues. Instead, we're saying that we believe that God isn't surprised by any of our struggles. His word is sufficient to lead us and guide us. Personality and behavior change is explored and directed through biblical conversations and inviting the Holy Spirit into every part of the process.
✞ Nouthetic Counseling derives its name from the Greek word “noutheteo,” meaning “to admonish, warn, or instruct.” The emphasis is on guiding individuals toward spiritual maturity by confronting them lovingly with biblical truth. This approach focuses on addressing both external behaviors and heart attitudes through exhortation rooted in Scripture.

Heather Creekmore

Heather’s passion for helping women comes from her own journey of struggle and healing. After decades battling body image—trying everything from changing her body to becoming a fitness instructor—she finally found true freedom in the truth of God’s Word. Through that journey, God called her to speak His truth and bring healing to women who feel trapped by comparison, shame, and insecurity.

As a wife of a Marine, turned Pastor, mother of 4, and ministry partner, Heather pours so much of her own life experiences into coaching, speaking, writing, and podcasting, helping women grow in their walk with Jesus, experience His freedom, and discover real hope for their struggles.

Over decades of helping women, Heather has drawn on her deepening spiritual growth and Biblical wisdom to offer more than a listening ear—she brings a gentle, loving voice that speaks truth and guides women back to the heart of God, relieving some of the deepest aches we face in this life.

As a wife and mother of two, Tara understands the realities of life’s hardships. She has personally walked through addiction, mental health challenges, marriage trials, chronic pain, an eating disorder, and her son’s battle with cancer. Through it all, she has come to know deeply what it means to be loved, chosen, and redeemed in Christ.

Tara longs to share her biblical wisdom, and the hope, peace, and freedom she has found in Jesus. She is here to walk with you through whatever season you are facing.

Traditional therapy can be a valuable part of healing, offering tools, and support. Through our own journeys and those of the many women we have worked with, we've recognized that many of our deepest longings—the places marked by shame, fear, and constant ache—reach beyond what therapy alone can touch. These painful places are drawn into the light through the loving, gentle truth of God’s Word, spoken with compassion and understanding by women who have been there. It is here that the Holy Spirit brings the strength and healing only He can give.

There is no pain that Jesus can't heal.
